WELCOME
TO EASINGWOLD GOLF CLUB
We are proud to be able to say that EGC
was, in September 2008, awarded the EGU's 'Golfmark',
which recognises the excellence of our commitment to Junior
Golf. We are one of only a very few clubs in the area
to have acheived this status.
The Club is situated close to the
attractive market town of Easingwold, around 12 miles north
of York. Offering, as it does, 18 holes of parkland and
heathland, the course is already one of the very best
in the area.
In 2008
the eminent
John
Nicholson Associates undertook assessment of the
course with a view to future development and initial
work on these
recommendations was commenced in December of that year
Although the Hambleton Hills rise nearby to the
north, the course itself is fairly flat. However, the thoughtful
use of mature trees and heather, together with a small
element of strategically placed water, has produced a challenging, manageable, and enjoyable
course.
The well equipped clubhouse and pro-shop provide a
warm welcome and cater for all golfing needs, from equipment
or lessons, to refreshments at the 19th!
New
members and visitors always are welcome. We hold several
Open Days for non-members, details of which are available via the button
above.
